Program will be held July 7
- July 19
, 2024
Join us in July 2024 for the Suffolk University Public History Institute - a 2-week residential program on Boston’s colonial and Revolutionary history, its museums, and its cultural sites for high schoolers in grades 10 through 12. Through site visits, small group discussions, and behind-the-scenes tours, we’ll consider Boston’s Revolutionary legacy, and the role we all play in ensuring America’s ongoing journey toward freedom, equality, and liberty for all. Guided by expert faculty in History and Art and Design, you’ll use Virtual Reality (Meta Quests) to create digital exhibits about your experience. You’ll earn a certificate of completion at the end of the program.
During the program, students will gain hands-on, unparalleled access to some of the Boston area’s most celebrated museums and historic sites, including the Freedom Trail, Revolutionary Spaces, Old North Church, the Concord Museum, the USS Constitution Museum, and building sites related to African American History. You’ll also network with Suffolk University alumni who have built careers leading the area’s cultural institutions.
Come make your way with us as you build new friendships, forge professional networks, and bring the past to life in the present.
