    Suffolk Alumni Volunteering for Undergraduate Admission
    We’re delighted to hear of your interest in volunteering with Suffolk University’s Office of Undergraduate Admission! You and your fellow alumni are such important members of the University community. Suffolk alumni are excellent ambassadors and play an integral role in recruiting new students each year. 

    Please answer the questions below regarding what areas you are interested in volunteering within the Undergraduate Admission field. Please note that some volunteer opportunities are currently suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic, however we would still like to note your interest if applicable.

    Undergraduate Admission Volunteering Opportunities
    Virtual Presentations/Events
    Attend a virtual event as an alumni representative of Suffolk University. Examples of volunteer participation could include an alumni success panel, participating as an alumni representative in a panel about a particular major or program, or attending a virtual information session hosted with a specific high school or region alongside members of the Undergraduate Admission Office.

    Email Outreach to Admitted Students
    Compose a congratulatory email to newly admitted students, sharing your experience at Suffolk as well as sharing your success after graduation. Email campaigns will be coordinated by Admissions, and alumni will only be responsible for providing content and answering any interested student inquiries.

    In-Person College Fair Representation (*suspended until further notice due to COVID-19)
    Attend a college fair local to your area as a representative of Suffolk University (materials will be provided), including educating prospective students, families and high school staff on academic programs, life at Suffolk and admission information. Short training required (video conference/phone option available).

    On-Campus Admission Events (*suspended until further notice due to COVID-19)
    Assist the Undergraduate Admission team during a weekend Open House/Admitted Student Showcase event. Assignments may include: representation at an Alumni engagement table, offering directional help, conversing with prospective or admitted students and families, assisting with check-in and registration, or other duties as needed.

    Regional Admitted Student Events (Locations vary each spring) (*suspended until further notice due to COVID-19)
    Attend an area-based weekend reception with current Suffolk staff/faculty as an alumni representative currently living/working in the area, mix and mingle with admitted students and families, briefly present on your time at Suffolk as well as your success after graduation.
